OCARES (Oregon City ARES) has revised their Sunday evening net procedure: The net will now begin on the ‘OC 1’ Boynton Repeater channel (442.075 MHz – 103.5 tone). Following check-ins on the ‘OC 1’ channel, the net will QSY to the ‘CLAC 7’ Highland Butte Repeater channel (441.900 MHz – 103.5 rx & tx tone). A roll-call will be made on the ‘CLAC 7’ channel, followed by a request for announcements, comments or questions. The ‘OC 2’ Simplex channel (146.56 MHz) will no longer be a part of the regular net sequence.
The OCARES monthly meeting, on Sep 18, will be held at Jimmy O’s Pizza, in Oregon City. OCARES will continue to meet at this location until the beginning of Summer in 2024, when they will probably return to the summer-time alternate location at Rivercrest Park in Oregon City.
