As announced by CARES Oregon City AEC Jeremy Tanzer KI7BDP, on carestech.groups.io, the KI7BDP-10 RMS gateway station is supporting Winlink email messaging, via VARA FM and Packet connections, on 50.700 MHz:
It is all hooked up. Everything is turned on. I think the settings are set.
If you’ve got a 6m radio and a instance of winlink looking for an exciting new challenge, spin the dial to 50.700 MHz and attempt to connect with KI7BDP-10 via VARA FM or Packet.
I’m running an Alinco 6m radio fed with LMR 400 and leading to a Diamond V-2000 tri-band antenna about 25′ AGL.
My place is probably about .25 miles from the Disaster Management offices at the CUP.
I’m excited to see how this plays out. Let me know of your test results. If you’re up to it, you can even turn in your winlink net check in this way.
Again: KI7BDP-10, at 50.700 MHz.
Good luck!
-Jeremy
